Overview
There are several actions that you can perform on each conversation.
To find the conversation action menu, click the ellipses at the top right of the screen, once the conversation is already selected. The Conversation Actions are then at the bottom of the menu.

The following conversation actions can be used to enhance your YakChat experience.
The first conversation action is editing a contact, this is a quick access to the edit contact screen. To learn more about editing contacts

Close conversation
Closing a conversation is a way of archiving a conversation so that it no longer appears in your main inbox. These messages are still accessible under the filter options,
click here to read more about the filter options.
You are able to close a conversation from the Conversation Actions menu by clicking Close Conversation.
Alternatively, you can close a conversation from the Messages panel.
Go to the Messages tab and on the conversation you would like to close click the ellipses button. On the pop-up menu select Close Conversation.
A conversation will reopen when the conversation receives a message, if you would like to reopen a conversation that hasn't had a new message follow these steps:
1. Using the filter options, go to your closed conversations. Click here for help with your filter options.
2. On the conversation you would like to reopen click the ellipses button and select Reopen Conversation.
Mark as unread
Messages can be marked as unread so that you can come back to them later. This action can be done on the Conversation Actions menu by clicking the Mark as unread button.
Alternatively, you can mark a message an unread from the Messages tab. Choose a conversation you would like to mark as unread, click the ellipses button and select Mark as unread.

Assigning conversations to an owner
If you find yourself in a scenario where you are a member of a shared inbox, and would like different users to manage different conversations, you can select the Assign Owner or Assign to me button in the Conversation Actions menu. When selecting Assign to me the conversation will be assigned to you straight away.
When using the Assign Owner button, a pop-up menu will show any other users that are part of the inbox, select which user you would like to assign to be the owner of the conversation.
A symbol will now show on the conversation selector indicating who the conversation is owned by. The conversation owner will also be notified if the contact responds to the conversation at any time via the YakBot. For help setting up YakBot notifications click here.
Another way to easily choose the owner of a conversation when you have a shared inbox is within the Messages tab, this way you do not have to open a conversation. To do this follow the steps below.
1. On the Messages tab, choose a conversation to assign and click the ellipsis for that conversation. Select either Assign to me or Assign Owner.
2. If you have selected Assign Owner a pop-up menu will show any users that are part of the inbox that can be assigned. Select who to assign the conversation to.
A symbol will now show on the conversation selector indicating who the conversation is owned by. The conversation owner will also be notified if the contact responds to the conversation at any time via the YakBot. For help setting up YakBot notifications click here.
It is also easy to filter the conversations and find any conversations that have not yet been assigned. If you would like to learn more about YakChat's filter options please

Copy messages
The copy messages button will copy all conversation messages to your clipboard, allowing you to paste these messages where you need them.
Export conversation
Selecting the Export Messages button will download a CSV file including the history of that individual conversation. This can be used for archiving purposes or as an easy way to send your conversation history to someone.
Click the Export Messages button within the Conversation Actions menu to export your conversation, a CSV file will be added to your download folder.
