Follow these steps to access and message Salesforce contacts from YakChat.

Step 1: Access Salesforce contacts in YakChat

1. Open YakChat.
2. Go to Contacts.
3. Select the Salesforce tab to view your Salesforce contacts.

Step 2: Start a conversation

1. Choose a contact from the list.
2. Click Send Message to begin the conversation.

Note: Replies from Salesforce contacts will appear in YakChat, keeping all conversations in one place.

Step 3: View Salesforce contact details in messages

1. When you receive a message from a Salesforce contact, their contact information will be displayed automatically.

Step 4: Review message history in Salesforce

1. Every inbound and outbound message is recorded on the contact’s Activity Timeline in Salesforce.
2. Open the contact record in Salesforce to see the full text history.

Step 5: Send media files

1. If you send media from YakChat to a Salesforce contact, those files are stored in Salesforce under the contact’s Related Files.
