Follow these steps to access and use the YakChat Lightning App in Salesforce.

Step 1: Open Salesforce and locate the YakChat tab

1. Open the Salesforce app where the YakChat Lightning App is installed.
2. Navigate to the app in Salesforce that includes YakChat.
3. At the bottom of the screen, click the YakChat tab to launch the Lightning App.

Step 2: Send messages to Salesforce contacts

1. Click the contact list inside the YakChat tab.
2. Select a Salesforce contact and click Message to start composing your text.
3. Type and send messages as you normally would in YakChat.

Step 3: View inbound messages and notifications

1. When a new message arrives, you’ll see a notification on the Salesforce notification bell and on the YakChat tab.
2. Open the YakChat tab to view all inbound Salesforce messages directly within the app.

All conversations stay in one place in the YakChat tab for easy access.
