Overview
Contact Management is a new feature with the YakChat application that helps you to store and organize your contacts better. It serves as a modern version of a phone book, allowing users to easily access and retrieve contact information. Contact management includes additional features such as the ability to categorize contacts, set group tags, and add notes.
The New Contact Management design made YakChat easier to navigate, more intuitive, and more engaging, thereby reducing friction for users and improving overall satisfaction. Here is a quick look at the old Contact Management
Explore the New Contact Management feature by going to each item below.
Hover over the search field and enter the Name, Phone Number or Email Address to find the contact
1. Under Contacts tab, click Add Contact
2. Enter the following information
- First Name
- Last Name
- Visibility
- Phone Number
- Email Address
- Add A Note
- Add Group Tags
3. Click Save
Edit a Contact
1. Search for the Contact and click the Contact
2. Click any information you need to Edit for the field to show up
Filter Contact
Click on the Buttons and Icons for Filter
Manage Group Tag
1. Go to Group Tags tab
2. Select the Group Tag
3. In the right Pannel, you can manage the Group Tags by:
- Message contacts
- Go to each contact by clicking their name
- Remove a contact
- Delete group tag
