Microsoft Teams channel integration

Overview

The Microsoft Teams integration connects an Inbox to a Teams channel enabling members of the channel to receive new message notifications and reply to messages using the Posts tab in a channel.

New Microsoft Teams Integration

Before adding a new connection, first install YakChat into the Teams channel using Installing YakChat into a Teams Channel instructions. After interacting with YakChat from the Posts tab in the channel you can then connect your inbox inbox to the channel by clicking the Add button in the Microsoft Teams tile in the Integrations tab then select the inbox in the Inboxes pull down and then select the Channel from the Channels pull down and click the '+' button to add the connection.

Connect an new Inbox to a Teams Channel

Before connecting an inbox to a Teams channel, first install YakChat into the Teams channel using Installing YakChat into a Teams Channel instructions. After interacting with YakChat from the Posts tab in the channel you can then connect your inbox inbox to the channel by clicking the Edit button in the Microsoft Teams tile in the Integrations tab then select the inbox in the Inboxes pull down and then select the Channel from the Channels pull down and click the '+' button to add the connection.

Disconnect an Inbox from a Teams Channel

To disconnect an inbox from a Teams channel click on the Edit button in the Microsoft Teams tile in the Integrations tab then find the inbox that you wish to remove the connection and click on the 'x' button in the connection you wish to remove. This will disconnect the inbox from the Teams channel ready to be re-assigned to a different channel.

Moving an Inbox to a new Teams Channel

Before moving an inbox to a new Teams channel, first install YakChat into the new Teams channel using Installing YakChat into a Teams Channel instructions. After interacting with YakChat from the Posts tab in the channel you can then disconnect the inbox from the existing Teams channel by clicking the Edit button in the Integrations tab then then find the inbox that you wish to remove the connection and click on the 'x' button in the connection you wish to removes. To connect to a new Teams channel, select the in the inbox from the Inboxes pull down and then select the Channel from the Channels pull down and click the '+' button to add the new connection.
