The maximum file size is 5MB. Additional file types may be supported depending on your carrier.  Contact YakChat for more information.

1. Select the conversation that you’d like to send a text to in the Messages tab or create a new conversation 

2. Click the attachment icon () to the left of the text bar. 

3. You’ll be taken to your file directory, where you can select the file that you’d like to send to the recipient.  

Once selected, the image will load, and then you can send the message by selecting the send () button on the right-hand side of the screen. You’re also welcome to enter a text message in addition to the picture before sending.  

If you would like to send more than one picture then select the images you would like to send from the file directory. 

How to view and download images

You can open any images you have sent or received in YakChat using Lightbox by clicking on the image. This will display your image on full screen. If multiple images have been sent or received these will be shown as a carousel in a light box so you can scroll through the images with ease. 

It is also easy to download any images that you would like to save to your desktop or phone. Simply click the download button above the images and select to download an individual file or all files.
