How to Create a WhatsApp Template Message

Overview

This guide explains how to create a WhatsApp template in Meta’s WhatsApp Manager so it can be used in YakChat.

Creating a Template in WhatsApp Manager

 Follow these steps to create your first WhatsApp template:
  1. Log in to your Meta Business Account.
  2. Go to the WhatsApp Accounts menu and select your account.
  3. Click the three dots and choose WhatsApp Manager.
  4. Navigate to Manage Templates and select Create Template.
  5. Choose the template category you need (Marketing or Utility).
  6. Enter the required information for the template.
  7. When finished, click Submit.

Template Approval

  1. After you submit your template, it will not be available immediately.
  2. You must wait until its status is listed as Active – Quality pending.
  3. This means the template format has been approved, but Meta will continue to monitor quality based on how customers interact with it.
  4. Once the template becomes fully active, it will appear inside YakChat and can be selected when sending a message.
You have now created a WhatsApp template message that can be used in YakChat.
