How to clear Microsoft Teams cache for Windows

The files to be removed are in a different location for the classic and new Microsoft Teams:
- Classic: %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams
- New: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe
Remove cache in Microsoft Teams classic
Use the following steps to clear the cache in the classic version of Microsoft Teams:
- Right click on the Teams icon in the Windows taskbar and select Quit from the menu
- Open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows logo key + R
- Paste the following into the Run dialog box: "%appdata%\Microsoft\Teams"
- Delete all files and folders in the directory. Note: these will be recreated when Teams is opened again.
- Start Microsoft Teams
Remove cache in New Microsoft Teams
Use the following steps to clear the cache in the classic version of Microsoft Teams:
