Archiving To Microsoft Azure Storage – Using Connection String

Overview

This method allows you to configure YakChat to deposit archived conversation data into your own Azure Storage Account via a Connection String. Optionally create a custom role, and then assign the Connection String to the Storage Account.

Archiving To Azure Blob Storage Using Connection String

Obtain The Required Details

1. Navigate to the Azure Portal and find the Storage Account that will store the archiving files
2. On the left hand menu, select Access Keys under Security + networking



3. Select the Show button next to Connection string under key1 to allow the Connection string to be copied.

Data Required for the Archiving Configuration

The following details should have been collected throughout this process:
  1. Storage Account Connection String
The name of an existing container in the storage account is also required.
