AI Assist is a smart feature that helps users compose, edit, and respond to messages more efficiently. It leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to:
Keep messages short and concise
Summarize key points of a conversation
Autocorrect text
Suggest tone adjustments and improvements
How it Works
When composing a message, users can select the desired AI Assist function—such as Shorten, Autocorrect, or Polish. Based on the selected option, AI Assist will generate a revised version of the text. Users can then:
Accept the AI-generated suggestion
Request another alternative
Reject the suggestion and continue editing their original text

Available Functions
Current and upcoming features include:
Shorten text: available now
Autocorrect text: coming soon
Refine text: coming soon
Chat summary: coming later
Important note: AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies or errors. Results are not deterministic and may vary across uses.
Shorten Text
The Shorten text feature helps you keep messages concise and cost-effective by attempting to fit your message within a single SMS segment (160 characters), while retaining the core message.
How to Use
Draft your message.
Open the AI Assist menu and select Shorten.
Wait a few seconds while the AI generates a revised version.
Review the output:
Accept the suggestion as-is
Edit the suggested version
Request a new version
Or reject it and keep your original text.
Please note:
It may not be possible to fit some long messages within a single SMS segment (160 characters) without loosing their original meaning.
Using emojis and special characters further reduces this limit to about 70 characters per segment.
