Overview
AI Assist is a smart feature that helps users compose, edit, and respond to messages more efficiently. It leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to:
- Keep messages short and concise
- Autocorrect text
- Suggest tone adjustments and improvements
- Summarize key points of a conversation
How it Works
When composing a message, users can select the desired AI Assist function—such as Shorten, Autocorrect, or Refine. Based on the selected option, AI Assist will generate a revised version of the text. Users can then:
- Accept the AI-generated suggestion
- Request another alternative
- Reject the suggestion and continue editing their original text

Shorten Text
The Shorten text function helps make your message as brief as possible, usually to fit it into a single SMS segment (160 characters), while still keeping the main idea.
✂️ What it does:
Cuts out extra or repeated words
→ "I just wanted to let you know that I’ll be late" → "I’ll be late"Replaces long phrases with shorter ones
→ "at this point in time" → "now"Keeps the core message, even if some detail is removed
It’s great when you need to save cost, or just be quick and to the point in your text messages.
Please note:1. It may not be possible to fit some long messages within a single SMS segment (160 characters) without loosing their original meaning.2. Using emojis and special characters further reduces this limit to about 70 characters per segment.
Autocorrect Text
The Autocorrect text function checks your writing for spelling mistakes, grammar errors, and typos, then fixes them automatically.🛠️ What it does:
Fixes words that are spelled wrong
→ "definately" → "definitely"Adds missing punctuation
→ "wheres my book" → "Where's my book?"Capitalizes letters when needed
→ "i am ready" → "I am ready"It helps make your text easier to read and more correct, but it doesn’t change your tone or style. It still sounds like you, just with the mistakes fixed.
Refine Text
The Refine text feature helps you keep messages concise and cost-effective by attempting to fit your message within a single SMS segment (160 characters), while retaining the core message. The Refine text function improves your writing to make it clearer, smoother, and more polished, without completely changing your tone.✨ What it does:
Fixes small grammar or word choice issues
→ "She did good on the test." → "She did well on the test."Improves sentence flow
→ "This is the thing I was talking about earlier." → "This is what I mentioned earlier."Makes the message easier to understand or more natural
It helps you sound more fluent and professional, while still keeping your personal style.
