This release introduces new contact integrations, partner updates, authentication options, and a series of UI refinements designed to enhance usability and performance across all YakChat platforms

Contact Management

  1. Added the ability to sync Outlook contacts directly from Contact Manager.
  2. Updated the Lookup Contact option to support upcoming SharePoint integration.
  3. Added an in-progress indicator to the contact import process for better visibility.

WhatsApp Channel 

  1. Ability to support Broadcast messaging for WhatsApp channels, enabling users to send messages to multiple recipients simultaneously.
  2. Increased file size limits for various WhatsApp media types.
  3. Enhanced the display of inbound WhatsApp PDFs, which now correctly show filenames.
  4. Improved handling of template variable names for WhatsApp messages.

Partner Enablement

  1. Added improved White Label branding.

Authentication Enhancements

  1. Added support for Okta Login, allowing users to authenticate using their organization’s Okta credentials.
  2. Added support for Webex Login on both the Messaging App and the Admin Portal.

User Interface Enhancements

  1. Improved the dark mode colour palette for better readability and visual consistency.
  2. Refined the message information panel to provide clearer details and easier access.
  3. Enhanced mobile mode responsiveness and layout adjustments for smaller screens.
  4. Streamlined the new chat flow to simplify message creation and improve navigation.
  5. Reintroduced the “Save All” option for attachments in the Teams app and disabled the option in mobile view.
  6. Updated the Lookup Contact feature to be more generic in preparation for upcoming SharePoint integration.

Stability and Performance Improvements

  1. Resolved issue preventing login to expired free trial accounts.
  2. Corrected overlapping tooltips that interfered with message visibility.
  3. Addressed an issue where the Contact Import Summary view scrolled out of position during import.
  4. Adjusted message ordering so newly sent messages now appear before scheduled messages.
  5. Improved behaviour of the Schedule Time modal when cancelling message scheduling.
  6. Ensured Notes icon displays correctly when note content exists.
  7. Corrected missing From Number and To Number fields in Export Chat results.
  8. Ensured the “Take a Tour” feature launches automatically for new users.
  9. Resolved issue preventing creation of shared trial accounts when additional users were not added.
